On this site was once a single storey blue bungalow. The client wanted to maximise the best use of the site and create something that stood out. Working with our experienced design team we created a scheme to construct two, modern detached houses. Each has its own off-street parking for 2 cars as well as good sized gardens. Inside the properties have a lot of technology that makes modern living easy. Each property has four bedrooms, two of these are ensuite with vaulted ceilings, to create very impressive rooms.
The houses are built out of timber frame with a blockwork external leaf to maximise efficiency. The walls have been rendered with a mixture of cladding, and the windows are dark aluminium.
The council have introduced a new policy where they do not like the loss of bungalows, so at the rear of the plot we designed a bungalow that will fit in nicely with the surrounding area and will have no effect on the neighbouring properties. We have done several applications to try and make the best use of the plot and we have ended up with a good-sized detached bungalow, which is currently in construction. This will be of a traditional cavity wall construction with truss roof, and will be clad in Cedral Boarding to create a new England style property.
