This property was bought up to date with a replacement two storey rear extension and internal refurbishment. A particular design success was the replacement of the old monopitch roof which balanced out the proportions and made a more balanced picture.
The house was fully refurbished as well as extended. New purpose made timber sash windows replaced UPVC windows. The use of yellow stock bricks, with contrasting red arched brick heads and a decorative brick pattern, matched perfectly the detailing of the original house.
Internally all internal walls were re-plastered and even the uneven timber floors to the ground floor were replaced with concrete floors with insulation and screed with underfloor heating. Cavity insulation was blown into the existing cavity in the old walls, thus creating a house fully up with modern standards.
