Appealing ‘Good News’ for Homeowners

MP Architects LLP hit the ground running in 2021 with some great news.

Our client, a delighted homeowner from Chingford will now be able to build a first floor rear and side extension after plans were approved in early January through the ‘Appeal Process’.

The original planning application submitted to the London Borough of Waltham Forest Council was refused due to lack of information and the suggestion that the proposals were not in keeping with other properties in the street.

The extensive knowledge of the MP Architects LLP team meant that we were able to prove that the application was not an overdevelopment of the plot and that the project proposal was consistent with the surrounding properties.

The Appeal Inspector concluded …… “Under the National Planning Policy Framework, the proposal complies with no overbearing impact, the rear extension is in keeping with similar first-floor extensions on the street, would have no adverse effect on the character and appearance of the area nor the living conditions to surrounding neighbours.”

With the brilliant design and paperwork signed off, work on this property can now commence.

We are excited to see the finished project and passionate about supporting similar projects through planning, and if necessary the appeal process.
